Zion National Park - May 1 - May 4, 2014
On Thursday, May 1st the remainder of GALs that had not ventured to Zion on Wednesday, arrived by late afternoon to settle in. We all met at the pool for nibbles and cocktails while we had a pre-hike briefing for our day at the Narrows. Lucky for us, we got to get our equipment that night so that we could head out first thing in the morning in our waterproof pants, neoprene socks, water boots and walking stick. Oh yea... fashion at it's best! As you can see, the canyon is amazingly beautiful and we look pretty cool too!

On Saturday there was a handful of GALs that opted for a scenic hike with observations of their own enjoying this beautiful area. The rest of us headed out for Observation Point Trail. This was a great hike of 8 miles with an elevation gain of 2150 feet. Throughout the hike the scenery of the amazing canyon walls followed you up the trail with views that took your breath away!
