Santa Barbara Girlfriends Adventure League, LLC (SBGAL) is a concierge service providing Training, Treks, & Travel for busy women that want to have a good time!

Trainings focus on trekking.  The SBGAL training programs progress over the course of a typical 10-12 session to prepare for a travel adventure (see below).    The training programs are designed for apparently healthy women ages 18-80.  SBGAL supplements trainings with a variety of information for consideration on proper hiking/walking technique and equipment/supplies, women’s wellness subjects, nature and history topics, and information on our travel adventure destination.

Treks are the heart of the SBGAL training program and take place all over Santa Barbara and its surrounding region.  Our hiking programs focus on front country trails of the Santa Ynez Mountains.  We know some beautiful spots in our local mountains and want to share them!  SBGAL’s Town & Country Walking Program visits different neighborhoods in the “Town” of Santa Barbara or natural areas in the surrounding “Country.”  SBGAL has amazed many members, including life long Santa Barbara residents, by introducing them to walking paths, paseos, hidden charms, and history of the City and surrounding area.

Travel is the soul of SBGAL.  Our GAL-pal get-a-ways serve as the ultimate reward for all the trek training!  Travel adventure destinations are chosen based on cultural or natural offerings and the time of year.  Hiking adventures are typically held in National Parks, State Parks or other natural wonder destinations, such as Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce, Sedona, to name a few.  Walking adventures typically focus on ½ or full marathon offerings in more urban destinations, such as San Francisco, Victoria, B.C., and even our own Santa Barbara.  SBGAL takes care of travel planning and logistics, including lodging, dinner reservations, etc., so that you can focus on having a great, worry-free, stress-free, time.
